INTERIM CEO TAKES THE LEAD AT WINNER REGIONAL HEALTHCARE CENTER
POSTED: JUN 12, 2012
Since the day John Osse, Interim CEO, entered the doors of Winner Regional Healthcare Center, he has been providing professional leadership and a wealth of experience and knowledge to all staff and employees. Osse, who started work in May at WRHC, replaced CEO Chris Wortham. Prior to coming to Winner Regional, Mr. Osse had retired from a career in healthcare administration, but took a job in 2007 as an interim CEO, and has since worked in facilities in South Dakota, North Dakota and Wyoming.
Osse was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Tahoe College in California. He has two masters degrees, one in Urban and Regional Planning, and the other in Urban Affairs. Osse started his career as a rural hospital administrator in 1976. Prior to starting a career in the field of healthcare, his first job was as director of comprehensive planning for six rural Colorado communities. Osse also served 22 years in the Nation Guard where he worked as a medic, and worked his way through college working as a hospital orderly.
Osse enjoys working in rural hospitals. "I like the interaction that goes on between the staff, physicians, board and the community". Osse has been noted to say that he believes that Winner Regional Healthcare Center has much going to offer. While attending a Winner Regional Foundation Board meeting earlier this month, he stated that he was impressed with the Foundation and it's successes. "The Foundation has a strong board and there is much support throughout the community", two very important aspects of a strong Foundation.
Osse is married to Marilyn Osse and is currently traveling to and from their home in Casper, Wyoming. Phil Husher, CFO stated, "We are glad to have Mr. Osse's experience and knowledge working for us, and with us, in our facility. We are pleased to have him on our team, and look forward to the prospective he brings to the table".
We welcome Mr. John Osse and wish him success in our facility!
