Long Term Care
Winner Regional long term care is an 81-bed skilled nursing facility with an 11-bed secured Alzheimer's unit. The building is adjoined to the hospital, which means that immediate, quality care is always at hand.
Resident-Centered Care
Our administration and staff promote a culture of Resident-Centered Care. Meeting the needs of our residents and their families is our number one priority. Respect for each individual's wishes is at the core of everything we do. 
Winner Regional LTC has been a leader in South Dakota in reforming the way people live in long term care facilities. Residents choose when they get up, choose their monthly menus and establish many of the events on their Activity Calendar.
Through our Make A Memory program, we have provided our residents with opportunities to pilot an airplane, ride horses, go to the pool halls in town, go bowling, eat at local restaurants, attend many livestock auctions, and continue to be a part of their community.
We provide our residents a home atmosphere with a spacious room and bathroom. This includes a bed, bedside stand, private wardrobe, entertainment center and scenic window to our well-groomed lawns.
We encourage outdoor activity and provide our residents safe sidewalks, a patio, outdoor seating, flower/vegetable planters, and an outdoor glider swing.
Staying in touch with families is important to almost all residents at Winner Regional. That's why we send out a monthly family newsletter with photos and calendars; families appreciate knowing when events are happening so that they may be a part of the fun! We also post the monthly newsletter in the NEWS section of this website.
