As summer winds down and school supply lists start piling up, it’s important not to overlook a critical part of your child’s back-to-school checklist—sports physicals and immunizations.
Whether your child is suiting up for football, volleyball, cross country, or any other school activity, South Dakota schools require a current physical to ensure student-athletes are healthy and ready to play. These physicals help identify any underlying health issues and keep your child safe on and off the field.
At the same time, making sure your student’s immunizations are up to date protects them and their classmates from preventable diseases. South Dakota requires certain vaccines for school attendance, including Tdap and meningococcal for middle and high schoolers. If you're unsure of your child’s immunization status, our clinic team can help review records and administer any necessary vaccines.
Avoid the rush—schedule early! Appointments fill up quickly as the first day of school approaches. By scheduling now, you’ll beat the back-to-school scramble and ensure your child is ready for both the classroom and the playing field.
Call the Winner Regional Clinic today at 605-842-2626 to make your child’s appointment.
Let’s start the school year strong—with health and safety as a top priority!
