Winner Regional Health is proud to welcome Dr. Dana Lewis to our team of healthcare providers. Dr. Lewis officially began seeing patients in early March and brings nearly three decades of medical experience along with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

A Strong Educational Background

Dr. Lewis began her academic journey at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She later received her Master of Public Health from Loma Linda University, a respected institution known for its contributions to medical research and innovation. She then continued her medical education at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

This combination of clinical training and public health education gives Dr. Lewis a well-rounded perspective on patient care, focusing not only on treatment but also on prevention and overall wellness.

Nearly 30 Years of Medical Experience

Dr. Lewis has been practicing medicine since 1996, providing care to patients across a wide range of healthcare needs. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for compassionate care, careful listening, and a dedication to helping patients achieve better long-term health.

Her experience and expertise strengthen the already diverse group of providers at Winner Regional Health, allowing the organization to continue delivering high-quality healthcare close to home.

Finding a Home in Rural South Dakota

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Lewis had been looking for a community where she could settle down and embrace a quieter lifestyle. When she visited Winner Regional Health and toured the facility, she was impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and positive experience she had with the staff and leadership.

The visit confirmed that Winner was the kind of community she had been searching for.

Dr. Lewis has shared that she appreciates the rural lifestyle and close-knit community that makes this region special, and she is excited to begin building relationships with patients and families throughout the area.
